BOO!

Well I have been sewing but nothing finished quite yet to show you but it will be soon.

So since it is Halloween I thought I would show you how we say BOO at our house.

This is our Boo (Hanna, really but we have called her Boo since she was born) on her 14th birthday.  Typical on the phone, usually her cell and texting, but her Great-Grandmother doesn't use those new techie things!

She is also a pretty good soccer player.

OOPS!!!

Have you ever made that certain block and you just loved everything about it?  You love making the blocks, you had fun making them and you can't wait to set it all together.  Well that is the quilt I am about to show you, but wait what is wrong with this picture??

How did I not see this??

This quilt is from Kathleen Tracy's book Remembering Adelia, called Peony Star Quilt.  I love it and always have loved her books and this one is no exception.  Check it out.

Oh by the way I am leaving it this way.  It kind of grows on you and it is a true glimpse of me!!

Cheddar and not the Cheese type!!

A while back a quilting friend of mine and I decided we wanted to do a quilt with lots of cheddar fabric.  We had been collecting for a while and when we had enough we decided it was time to design the quilt around the fabric!! (who knew)  So we did and here is the finished product.

I love it so now it's off to the quilter.

See you soon

Third Grade Math REALLY

I've always been really good at math.  It was my favorite subject in school, but math today is not like I remember.  I was helping my grandson Noah with his 3rd grade math homework, ( now this should be easy addition and subtraction) he had 12 problems to add and subtract.  He did that and got all the answers correct, now here is the problem I had,  circle the addend, circle the minuend and circle the subtrahend,  REALLY  what the heck?  I had to google to find out what these were?  Whatever happened to the good old days of just add and subtract and get the right answer?  No wonder kids are so much smarter these days!!  How did I ever survive 35 years of Banking???

Well now that I have that off my chest onto the sewing room.  I have been proofing patterns today, kinda fun to read it from someone else perspective.  I have made the corrections and now ready for the printer.

Talk to you later.
